Necessary disclosures

The spherical book [6.5 cm in diameter to 9 cm in diameter] is hinged with book cloth and opens to reveal six nested 'pages' of text that unstack to be read. Necessary disclosures is cast with a blend of flax, cotton and abaca fibers. The text is letterpress printed and the book is housed in a clear plexiglass box (10 x 10 x 10 cm.)

Two years in reverse

The title comes from the fact that the colors and fibers that make up the pages are meant to represent seasons, and they do go in reverse: spring, winter, fall, summer. It has to do with looking back, re-assessing changes that occur over any given time period, in this case, two years. It is autobiographical and not!--Artist
